Trail and Track was originally set up in 2001 by Cyril Shaw and Gay Sinclair to provide motorbike trail riding facilities for guests across their beautiful Tararua farmland and scenic bush country. They extended the facilities by renovating the traditional Shearer's Quarters and historic Woolshed to create a warm and welcoming country venue, which offers both accommodation and meals for many different types of group events, such as getaways, retreats, conferences, birthday parties, family reunions, stag/hen parties, and even small weddings.

The 15 kms of well-maintained continuous tracks are ideal for off-road motorbike and quad bike riding, but they are also suitable for horse trekking, mountain biking, tramping and any other activity that you may like to suggest.

Trail and Track changed hands in 2016 to allow Cyril and Gay a chance to enjoy their Hawkes Bay lifestyle, and Josie Adlam is now carrying on with the vision which Cyril and Gay had for the land, continuing to host motorbike trail ride enthusiasts and opening up the wonderful venue for guests to enjoy the comforts of country hospitality while exploring all of the adventures and natural wonders available in the beautiful Tararua Country.
